XNA

"Microsoft will start offering the XNA Game Studio 2.0 development tool kit for free, which lets people develop software games. While anybody can do it, Satchell acknowledged that you will need some expertise in writing software code. The games can be written in Microsoft Word and then migrated to Xbox."

What scares me is that he's a "Software Architect"...If he was a Business Analyst or some other random job description on the business side we shouldn't worry...It's the fact that he's doing something with the XNA Toolkit behind the scenes...*shudders a little*

Why would that surprise you? Microsoft recently included VB.NET support for XNA, isn't Word the next step *up* the evolutionary ladder

And you need to get off your high horse. I know for a fact that you, and at least two other MVPS worked at a Consulting firm that charged clients a ton of money for software that didn't allow unit testing and was managed by the most devout Waterfall advocates. And I know that you, Me, and Tobin had all spent many hours "Codin' in Word" - so it's not that radical of a concepgt
</MorePricelessBillHumor>

And heck, as stupid sounding as Codin in Word is, is it any dumber than running a multi-million dollar firm on Excel? Or sending around Excel sheets to 45 people every week and having a monkey copy and paste everything into a 45mb file sitting on a network share?

I better quit before I get myself in trouble
